cliche but avocado with fresh ground pepper (we bought some terrific pepper in Japan at a Farmers market that I have not been able to find/reproduce here in the USA). Any type of cheese but savory works best.
I’m going to start seasoning my bean soaking water now. Rancho Gordo always says not to start seasoning until they “begin to soften” when cooking, but I don’t buy it!
Just raspberry tomatoes from my own garden, iceberg lettuce and a mix of freshly ground pepper. :)
Seasoned ricotta cheese and sauteed mushrooms with marsala
a sharp cheese with a little butter and jam

I love melted cheddar cheese with thin slices of onion and fresh black pepper
I'm a big fan of butter and corona beans. After hydrating, sometimes I blister mine in a sautee pan with garlic and olive oil. Heavenly!
I love that! Works so well with fresh cooked ones, too - I always have trouble with the canned options, which turn to mush

I try to steer clear of bean-salt controversy but I do find that salting the soaking water makes a difference!
Thanks for the reminder about summer beans. 🫘
Homemade pumpkin seed butter using walnut oil and homemade jam
I've never thought of creating or using charred cabbage for a salad. Now the next time I buy a cabbage I'm going to try this, thank you for sharing.
I rarely eat bread anymore due to gluten sensitivity. But I will share my favorite toast topping remains a lovely melting salted butter.
I love the charred cabbage - especially with the flavor of the grill. Hope you enjoy it, too!
Avocado
I'm old and oldskool! butter.cinnamon.sugar.
Whipped ricotta cheese (I like Joshua McFadden’s recipe in Six Season) and a dollop of good jam.
Your smoky beans with the olives (via Rancho Gordo)—just had some yesterday!
Hi! You're a winner in the book giveaway! I'm messaging you separately for a mailing address.
Love that!
My favorite is avocado! With a little balsamic on top.
