For many years now the start of summer has been synonymous in my mind with the start of veggie burger season. Not because veggie burgers are a summer-only thing, but because Memorial Day commences grilling season, and publications seem to always want to talk about grilling veggie burgers! So looking back on the past 15 years of “veggie burger season kickoff,” I thought I’d pull together a few favorite burgers, round out an ideal menu — I’ve got a handful of recipes from the archives that you might have missed — and add links I’ve been meaning to share in the event that there’s a road trip on your agenda.
